My Story
My name is Lilly Rowe and I am the proud owner of Blue Sky Sunny Day Farm. 1st Generation Woman-Owned Farmer, established 2019.
Fresh, healthy (chemical free) and tasty food is something I look for every day for my family. Finding a supplier who can provide these quality food items who also is protecting our planet by their farming practices, has always been a challenge and this is why I started my farm. I took this goal one step further and work with Clemson each year to have my operation audited to verify my compliance with USDA NOP (National Organic Program) guidelines so I can provide to you certified organic produce and protein.
My goals are simple...provide to you healthy, tasty, certified organic vegetables and protein. All grown and raised as certified organic while respecting our planet earth.
You can find us every Saturday at the Summerville Farmers Market. We also offer a no-charge home delivery (no minimum order size) and have a simple, customer friendly CSA Program.

Are your vegetables USDA Certified Organic? Yes. Our vegetables are USDA Certified Organic. To maintain our certification, we undergo a comprehensive annual inspection and audit through Clemson University's Organic Certification Program to verify that we continue to meet all USDA organic standards.

Is your chicken raised on pasture? Yes. Our chickens are raised on certified organic pasture and live in mobile coops called "chicken tractors." Every day, we move the coops to fresh pasture, giving the birds continuous access to new grass, insects, sunshine, and fresh air.

What makes your farm different? We believe food is medicine. Our vegetables are USDA Certified Organic and Real Organic Project Certified, and our chicken, turkey, and lamb are Certified Organically Raised. We grow and raise food with transparency, integrity, and a commitment to your family's health.

What does "Certified organically raised" actually mean? Certified Organically Raised means our chicken, turkey, and lamb are raised under strict certified organic standards from birth until processing. They are fed certified organic feed, raised on certified organic pasture, and independently inspected each year through Clemson University's organic certification program. Because our processing facility is not certified organic, the meat cannot legally be labeled "certified organic," even though the animals were raised 100% under certified organic standards.

Do you require a CSA membership? No. Unlike a traditional CSA, there is no upfront membership fee or seasonal commitment. Each week, we text our customers a list of what's fresh and available, and you simply order what your family wants. Going on vacation or need to skip a week? No problem—order only when it works for you.

Do you use Roundup or synthetic pesticides? No. We never use Roundup, synthetic herbicides, synthetic pesticides, synthetic fungicides, or synthetic fertilizers on anything we grow. Instead, we rely on natural, approved organic farming practices that build healthy soil, protect the environment, and produce nutritious food for your family.

What does Real Organic Project certification mean? Real Organic Project certification is an additional certification for USDA Certified Organic farms. It verifies that our vegetables are grown in healthy, living soil—not hydroponically—and recognizes farms committed to authentic organic farming practices. The Real Organic Project also places a strong emphasis on animal welfare, encouraging livestock to be raised on pasture with the opportunity to express their natural behaviors.
These values closely reflect how we farm every day—building healthy soil, raising animals with care on pasture, and producing food with integrity.
